Share your quitting journey
Today is day 57 for me. I continue to plow through No Mans Land one day at a time. My journey has not been without a few life challanges/stressors but I have remained smoke free cold turkey since 11/3/13 at 8:40am.
I feel so much better. My breathing is like night and day. .Overall I just feel healthier. What a blessing. Yea a few extra pounds but I be working on that in 2014.
I do need to share something. Last night I read a blog comparing a strong crave to lying in a hospital bed for 13 hours. Right now I can't remember who it was. I could so relate to this story, visualize it, like it was happening to me. The itch that is just out of reach will drive a person crazy. We have all been there, right? This decribes addiction for some folks including me. This story painted such a powerful image for me I will never forget it. She solved her panic attack by putting on her glasses, distracting herself, and gaining a new perspective. Wow! I feel I can beat back any crave, urge, or smoke memory by replaying this story back in my head.
I sincerely would like to wish all of you a safe, happy and healthy new year. I appreiate you more than you know. As we continue our journey together may we all gain a new perspective, grow stronger, believe we are so worth it, love ourselves a little more each day, and remain smoke free. Not One Puff Ever.
Life is good!
