~~She is clothed in strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.~~ Proverbs 31:25 Kind of a bold quote today but I believe it is needed. So many have been affected by the actions of others. While I am sure you recognize that relapse isn't contagious, the unease....the questions....the fear of "failure" can simmer silently in your mind until smoking almost seems like a relief. It isn't of course! There is no reason to fear someone else's choice to smoke. Do you speed while driving because someone else speeds? Of course not! Do we go to the gym and get healthy because someone else is going to the gym and getting healthy? Of course not! This is a quit smoking site. Some people are going to quit. Some people are going to smoke. Neither should come as a surprise. Just remember that your quit is under your control! Feel strong...feel confident...and protect your quit as you protect other things you love. With care...with joy...with courage. Know you've got this! And feel the delight each day that quitting brings you. For its when you take it for granted that you risk losing it....just as other things you love and take for granted. Focus on you and allow others their journeys. Above all don't worry about what hasn't happened. That's a waste of precious time. I will not fear the future!! Sheri
