Social media a bit like smoking.

I went back on Facebook this week. But this time things are going to be very different. I won't check in as much unless I have some musical and more positive related statuses to post. I am goal orientated and that is the reputation I'll keep. I used to check countless times a day, whenever I got a chance and when ever I got an urge I'd check for the hell of it and several times a day. But Now I realize it's only worth checking once a day and to check on friend's messages. I never thought that social media would be somehow addictive and somewhat damaging to someone who has anxiety and depression. Well, to someone like me anyways! I am glad that Facebook has given me the wake up call that it's over-rated and not good for mental illness if used constantly. I've learnt to be be independent away from it this week and I feel happier because of it. I am not missing much. It's all the same. Just like cigarettes. I still don't miss those!

I first started smoking in around 2008 after a horrendous break up. I don't know why I did in the first place. I resent this decision to this date. Now I am free and continue to stay off the cigs! I currently work as a kitchenhand and write music!
