Welcome to The EX Café Fri 03.03.2017
I don't know about you, but it's been a long week. Let the coffee begin.
OMG.....coffee!!! Yay!!!! Pati, I'd love whatever coffee special you're serving today!
I watched an amazing video this morning streamed from a drone flying over iceland drone over iceland. So now I'm thinking, Iceland is cold. Coffee is hot. Maybe that's why they do coffee so well in Iceland. This cup is from a barista in Reykjavik
Good morning Pati,
Place looks great! I'll put out the Cowboy Coffee served sign & start up a pot...
Let's get this party going!
With croissants, jam, and fruit, of course
Good morning all-
TGIF! I will take a black coffee when you get a chance. Thanks much-:)
Good Morning RachelMB. Hope this is how you like. Fresh brewed, beans from Brazil.
Good morning Rachel,
Try a cup of this, she seems to like it well enough...
Hey there Pops. I just finished sweeping the sundeck so we can sit out there and enjoy the sunrise with a cup of that staunch brew of yours. Thanks!
Oh I'm so there.....
Pops and c2q-thank you guys for the coffee!
Good morning EXers!
Come on in and let's shoot the poop with Pati and cause some good ole fashioned mahem out on the sundeck....
That's after you have made your daily committed pledge @ Spring into March 2017 with a Daily Commitment!
We will be here most of the morning....
And later, we'll catch the Freedom Train with smorgy8513. This is the life. smokefree.
The weather here in Maryland is just "nuts right now"...It was 80 degrees Wednesday, and there is snow on the ground this morning with a temperature of about 24 degrees....!!! Hello, is anybody in charge of that dept available for a briefing. A lot of people would love to know what is going on here,,,
Pati, I thought this pic would look good hanging on the wall....
Looks like a masterpiece to me. I'll hang it over by the jukebox for now. We can move it later if we want.
Pati, that's very impressive!
Good Morning! I'm dealing with a smoke alarm that decided to go bonkers in the middle of the night! That thing has to be 20 Years old! Landlord says - do it yourself and deduct from the rent - Thanks a lot!
But I'm breathing and I intend to enjoy every minute of it!
Starting with a Salted Caramel Latte if you have any, Pati! Thanks for running this marvelous place!
Breathing and enjoying every minute, That's impressive. Here is the Thomas Special - salted caramel latte. Enjoy!
The days just got to get better from here, right?
Big cup of hot black coffee for me this morning. Pops Weather here in Wisconsin same thing. 61 degrees on Tues then 6 inches of snow Wed & Thurs. Now 8 degrees outside. Nothing to smoke over though. Right?
Let me get that for you Terry. Pops must be in the back.
Excuse me for a few while I grind some more coffee beans. See you in a bit.
Good morning Patti, I want to jump in for a nice cup of coffee with a little bit of vanilla creamer! I don't take my morning coffee around here till Jake wakes up, but I'm so ready right now! Thanks. place looks great.
Good morning Sharon!!!!
Gee it sure is good to see you doing so well with your quit. What is your count up to these days? I think Pati is in the back, so let me help you out with some coffee here....
Damn that looks good!
Pops, you is truly tops. I'm going to have to join JustSharon in one of those. She has a really nice blog this morning, witha great quote to live by. Thanks for that, Sharon. Happy Friday
Hi Sharon. Really nice to see you this morning. I hope you enjoy the cuppa Pops brought out for you - looks pretty fine to me! Sorry I missed you; had to clean out the coffee grinder.
I just now read your blog JustSharon, and I so relate to those temptation to go back and get down on myself sometimes for the harmful things that I have done previously...I found this quote and saved it as a pin, let me share it with you this morning...
Now let's have another cup'o'joe....
I quit coffee 4 years ago when I stopped with the nasty sicorettes, but I would love to join the shenanigans on the sundeck with a cup of tea
I'll put up a chair for you, pronto! Is there a favorite blend you had in mind? Here's one of my favorites, butterscotch white.
Mornin' Pati, I would love a big cup of coffee this morning, surprise me with a treat to go with it.
Love (and friendship), thy name be CHOCOLATE! Here's your treat first. There's plenty to share so please be sure Nancy gets a piece - I see her coming - and coffee's on the way.
Ooops, she snuck it in under my nose....oh well, there's always room for more chocolate right? Remeber, it's a salad now...
Nah, it wasn't under your nose, Pops. You were just nose-deep into that salted caramel chocolate cake!
WOW c2q, Pops, and YoungAtHeart This is a virtual chocolate FEAST! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Hope everyone has an amazing day. I like your "Never regret..." pin @Pops8
That really is pretty powerful.
...and perhaps that treat might include some CHOCOLATE to share with my good friend, Ellen?
I'd also like one of Thomas' favorite coffees!
Hi Ellen & Nancy.....
So I'll be serving you this morning while Pati is in back tidying up the joint from last night (it appears the natives were getting a little carried away with themselves....)
How about a little salted caramel chocolate today Nancy?
You got it, girlfriend.
I have been self reflecting this morning...trying to figure out what has happened to my mind as of late, and my little "minion buddy showed me the answer"...
That settles it....I'm doomed.....
Don't forget when you are done kibitzing here in the cafe and basically eating your limitless viral sweet tooth fill...stop by and give a shout out to Sharon as she is conducting the train today Freedom Train 3/3/17 , and st awe all know how the train needs us all to stop in and rejoice and announce our milestones to date.....
Just a suggestion.....I'm just saying......
Okay, running to the back again. I'm thinking omelets for lunch. Going egg hunting.
So Pati, I hate to break it to you like this...but that's not the way to get eggs....I mean really???? Looks like fun, but I don't like your odds of coming out of that pen with any eggs in hand....lol
You didn't spend much time on a farm I am guessing???? Me, now I was born in a Pocatello, Idaho hospital...however, my family...well we lived in a "chicken coup" back in the hills of the outskirts of town....! That's right, a chicken coupe. My first bed was the back seat of an old 31 Buick that my mother told my dad to go get and they put orange crate lumber around it to keep me from rolling out. I had the best bed in the coupe...I can tell you a thing or two about chickens.....yep. I've come along way from a chicken coupe in Idaho in 1952, to a luxury apartment outside of Washington DC just before my retirement with the federal government....
So when you see me rejoicing in this life...maybe you can see that I just might have a little extra reasoning behind my emotions...
That's the way we lived back then....There were the haves....the have nots....then there was us, not welcome in either league....that is literally dirt floor poor...
wow Pops. thank you for that bit of Pops history. I just though that chicken clip was fun, but must admit, the only thing I know about chickens is from my Grandma's potato farm up in Maine when I was a kid.
Because you are my favorite Cowboy Barista, I am going to lay off the babe in the back seat of a 57 Chevy memes . . .
Not only did you survive, but you did it d@mn well!
You should be very proud.
