Good Morning Susan Happy Saturday! See ya in a bit, gotta run! I'll be ready for a something green when I get back!
Perfect Susan and I love the Mason Jars, gives it that Ole School look Oh yeah a classic omelet with spinach and provolone
Too bad I can't get food to you in real life. We have another big charity event at our legion today, and will be there all day cooking. Mike and I are making one of our specialties... atomic buffalo turds. Have you ever had them?
I recall you posting pictures of a smoker on an earlier cafe' discussion, so I assume you use one (or at least grill). If you don't make these, you need to. Stuff a jalapeno with cream cheese and a li'l smokie and wrap the whole thing in bacon. Smoke them for about 3 hours and serve with hot pepper jelly.
Best. Thing. Ever.
Those sound very tasty, atomic buffalo turds and the name is a real gas! hahaha! Thanks, susan_m I'll be making some of those to take to the club next Friday night, karaoke! Have a good night! ~Terrie~
For breakfast, I am adding an omelette to the menu as our special today. I have always loved omelettes! I recall several scenes in the movie The 100 Foot Journey that were dedicated to the craft of making a classic omelette. In the movie, food and the love of cooking are the ties that bind the characters who are from vastly different cultures.
Comparatively, our commitment to quitting smoking and our commitment to each other is what binds us all together and makes our journeys easier, regardless of our backgrounds, interests and goals. When you break things down to their simplest form, when you take out all of the noise and fluff, the common denominator shared by all of us is breaking free of the nicotine addiction. It's what brings us here every day, it is what makes us look to each other for support, for encouragement and what makes us come back day after day to share more and more of ourselves in the hopes of helping a fellow EXer pull through and maintain their quit. We have that in common; it is our tie that binds.
Maybe an omelette is just an omelette, but for me, at least for today, it's a little bit more.
H, Guys!
I'm hungry! May I have a Denver Omelette and on of those Buffalo - uh, treats, please?
Oh, and I sure could use a coffee with cream no sugar!
Good morning susan_m. Love the goodies this morning. Happy Saturday. I'll be in my usual spot, out on the sundeck, reading the blogs. hi Mortalzeus! Hi Thomas3.20.2010! Hi Violet_Quit!
Don't know when we'll see temperatures in the 50's again in Tampa Bay, but we just did around the first of the month. Not to worry thought, Mortalzeus, repeat after me: it's only a meme, it's only a meme ... It's gorgeous here today.
50 degrees in Tempe, AZ this morning too, but it is going to be a beautiful day!
And this is a staple for spring time, normally on my desk at work. But now I work mostly from home, I'll have them on my home desk till the season is over; after that they go in the freezer and will try again this year to plant them in a pot. Somehow make them "dormant" in a freezer does not seem to do the same thing as the natural "dormant" in the soil of someone's garden. But I will always love them and buy them in a pot, every spring time.
HYACINTHS
P.S. Keep watering sporadically after the bloom fades until the green dies mostly back (that allows the nutrients to go back into the bulb). Then put the bulb in a brown bag (keeps out the light but lets it "breathe) and keep it in the 'frig (not the freezer) until next January/February. Bring it out, replant, water, and place in sunlight. They also sell bulb vases - but I find they tip over when plants are blooming because the roots aren't anchored. Don't try to force the same bulb more than once.
Hope this works for you!
I'll take a large black coffee and take it out on the veranda listening to Cool Change Little River Band - YouTube
Good morning everyone! Busy day ahead for me! Just wanted to drop by and say hello and grab a black coffee to go, please. How's everybody this morning?
Good morning! Hope you all are enjoying a very pleasant smoke free day! Will sit here and relax with my morning cup of coffee and read some blogs. Planning to get some reading and studying done today. Looks like I might be able to get outside today and get some yard clean up done. I made for the first time yesterday some turmeric and ginger tea I actually found it to be quite pleasant considering I am not to fond of turmeric. I think today I will try it with some green tea and see how that is.
Always remember NOPE
In memory of my husband it is my hope that you will - Save a Life and that it will it be Yours.
Save a Life - Let it be Yours

I owe you BIG TIME for the help yesterday. We were crazy busy at the charity event; raised more than we expected, which benefits local kids and vets. Once I hit that legion, I never looked at my phone or opened my laptop. It was unexpected, for sure, and I'm so grateful you picked up my slack! Big hugs and thanks!!
Real life. Just keeps happening. Mortalzeus was great.
PS:
Glad to hear your charity even went so well. What a cool thing to be part of. I hope you get a chance to put your feet up today, barista.
Sorry to be late......went to my PT this morning to find out what's wrong with what I thought was the UN sprained leg. Discovered I have the recovering sprained right ankle and a sprained tendon/muscle behind my LEFT knee from walking funny. I don't do sitting still well - so of course I was out raking leaves and cleaning out gardens and picking up sticks while limping on the hurt ankle. I thus screwed up the OTHER leg and was in excruciating pain last night.
So - now I have been ordered to rest. I will take an ENTIRE chocolate cake, please! Gotta' salve my wounded self, then figure out how I'm gonna' sit for the next couple of days. I asked if I could have a choice between sitting or having bamboo shoots under my fingernails and was told that was actually not an option.
So here I sit.....not smoking over it and looking forward to some chocolate cake...
I am so sorry to hear that Nancy, and if you don't mind I'd join you and share some of that chocolate cake. You are totally understood by someone used to walk so much, and have been put to rest for now about 4 months. I do not use a cane or any walking help, but the most I can walk is inside the house, and to the store, occasionally. How long is this last "rest order" for you? Mine is approximately another 2 weeks until the next blood tests are back.
Can you use any supporting device (like an elastic wrap around the left knee), would that help?
Good morning EXers!!!!
