New Job!!!!!!Yay!

I have been waiting for three years for this position with this company, and I was delighted with the news that I have been hired and will start in a few days. The best part about it everything, they do not allow smoking on the premises and the beginning of a new start for my life and the clients. I was appalled at the last recovery outpatient agencie that I was employed at because smoking was allowed and I never understood why. I moved on for that reason and other conflicting issues. I am proud to give all of you the great news, and please keep me in your uplifting thoughts and prayers.

I have not been on here in a while, because I am giving myself a break from being online with that being said, I will be continuing my courses at MSU and all classes at this time will be online. The break was much needed for those reasons.

I will be a Peer Specialist in a recovery home, and moving forward to obtaining credentials in this pacific field that will accompany the credentials I already hold. I  am so grateful. I also would like for each and every one of you to pray that I pass the NCACI and the Peer Specialist exams.

I will be starting Chantix on the 25th, My first day of work.

Congrats on the new job!  The OTHER good news?  You can take the new job and not have to worry about your ability to smoke and get your fix!

Ah, freedom!

Congratulations on the job, that’s wonderful. I have to ask, if you are starting Chantix on the 25th, does that mean that you are still smoking? That concerns me because l think you might want a little freedom from smoking before starting the job. I think it is great that you are doing this & l have no doubt that you will pass any testing for something you so want to do! I will keep you in my thoughts & l will say prayers for you. I think you are really going to do well!

Congratulations on your new employment.  It is great to hear when someone achieves their goals.  Just like when we quit smoking and reach milestones.  I may have misunderstood but I am concerned that you will be starting a new medication the same day you start a new job. Have you ever experienced the side effects of Chantix? I am not sure you would want to start will the possibility of the following.  I am humbly suggesting that you rethink this scheduling of Chantix. I wish you the best in all of your endeavors.

Chantix is not addictive and is not a controlled substance; however, some patients may experience irritability and sleep disturbance if Chantix is abruptly discontinued. Patients may experience psychiatric symptoms such as behavioral changes, agitation, depressed mood, and suicidal behavior while using Chantix. T
