Question about the nose

Not to be crude but, after 2 weeks now blowing my nose has any one else experienced small traces of blood. Don’t know if I should get it checked out?

Not a doctor, but in the winter the inside, heated air is dry and a lot of nose blowing might be causing a small vessel to be irritated and bleed.  Have you tried nose moisturizing sprays - like saline - or  adding moisture to your house air by leaving out shallow pans of water or running a vaporizer?

If you are concerned, do give your doc a call.

Probably not connected to quitting smoking!

Sorry, I didn’t experience that after quitting smoking...actually had a lot of nose bleeds a few years ago when I blew my nose and saw an ENT and had to have some cauterizations done...and that corrected the situation...if it continues you may want to call your Doctor...~ Colleen

I get a small amount of this when I blow my nose this time of year.  It is caused by the dry air.  If it continues or increases, I'd check with your doctor.
