Hi Karen. My name is Melinda and I am 1 week smoke free! I also started at about 14 because (i'm 40 now) I thought I looked cool. The reason I quit was I just got sick of it. The cost, the enslavement & I've also gone back to school and hopefully will be accepted into nursing school next year which would be one more situation to have to hide my smoking. Which is a lot of work you know. I'm also in recovery my sobriety date is June 29, 99 and have applied the steps to my smoking. The longer I'm smoke free the more I see just what an addiction it is. How much I've had to work to keep smoking and all it does is take me closer and closer to death. Yet still I kept right on smoking. sound familiar? Would love to stay in touch with you.
