I would follow up with your doctor. Chest pain can be from any number of things but without an EKG or vital signs or blood work, it is impossible to know what it is coming from. Do see your doctor and let us know what happens.
Welcome to EX,
I would a) stop the patch and b) call your doctor and c) if it doesn't get better, go to the ER. Don't play with chest pain.
Did you have chest pain when you smoked? How old are you?
44 and no but I got a.major cough my husband said that could be causing it
To answer your question, no it isn't normal to have chest pain on the patch. Did your pain only start when you started the patch?
Yes but I have been coughing non stop since last cig it scares me cause my.mom passed away at 54 with congestive heart failure
Did you contact your doctor since you are scared and having chest pains?
I read about your cough...this can happen after quit...however, chest pain and cough donot sound good...please contact your Doctor...and don’t smoke...Gotcha in my thoughts ~ Colleen 179 DOF
Went to er got bronchitis..the craving for cigs is strong today.. today is my 3rd day not smoking today has been a very stressful day with family issues
The WORST thing you can do is to smoke now, you need to give your lungs some time to heal. Drink lots of fluids, I suggest taking generic mucinex which may help to loosen any phlegm you have. REST, watch movies, listen to music. You can get through this, it will get better and no crave is going to kill you but no one can say that about smoking.
I'm so glad you went and got checked out. Bronchitis is nasty and it would be a huge mistake to smoke. I bet you don't! Stressful stuff will be there whether you smoke or not. If you smoke, you have that to deal with AGAIN!
Take care of yourself. It takes a bit to get over the bronchitis.
Congrats on not smoking.
One thing I don't have any cigarettes in the house made the hubby promise not to go get any no matter what
Glad you went to ER...butterfly38237 sorry you have bronchitis...rest and drink lots of fluids...and no smoking...your body is healing from quitting and now being sick...Take care of YOU...~ Colleen 180 DOF
Happy to hear you went to the ER and know the cause of our chest pain. That can be scary. Take care of yourself right now.
Smart girl. No cigs in the house. That's the way to do it. Once you get over the issues of quitting, you will never be sorry you quit. It becomes pretty wonderful. Take good care of you. Lots of fluids, vitamins and good nutrition.
How are you doing now? Are you starting to feel better? Thinking of you.
Chest is getting better still got bad cough but know I'm supposed to do that been smoking since I was 13 will be 45 in July today is my 5th day not smoking.. I really appreciate everyone's concern it helps me get through the day. My sister came by yesterday she smoked in front of me..but I stayed strong and didn't smoke..I don't allow anyone to smoke inside..
Yahoooooooooo CONGRATS 5 NICOTINE DAYS - WAY TO GO- so joy filled for YOU! GOOD JOB!
Thinking about you...drink LOTS of liquids, it will help get the "gunk" out.
We really do all want you to succeed.
Agree with the drinking. I like a nice apple/cinnamon herbal tea. It makes me feel good, it smells wonderful, and it's a lovely substitute for plain water. The warm might feel good with the chest congestion too!
Thank y'all so much
I know everything smells and taste different
My sister smoked in front of me recently in her own car. I didn't say a word. Why should I? I don't smoke anymore, right? She didn't do it to make me uncomfortable; she did it to have a cig. I'm learning not to be bothered by it.
Congrats to you for not smoking and glad you're feeling a bit better. Chest pain is never anything to play with.
Starting to feel more like yourself? I like the tea idea, I know there are a couple that are for breathing...in the herbal tea department.
