Slimey mouth

Well into a month smoke free. I drink lots of water (at least a gallon a day). Brush teeth twice a day. This week I've felt like there is a slime or scum on the roof of my mouth. Atomic fireballs have been my saving grace. Any ideas?

Do you have sores or ulcers ? Like canker sores?

I remember reading that half of quitters experience weird mouth symptoms- maybe because of the chemical/ph changes....

Congrats on your success.  Sorry, can't say I've had any mouth issues.

Weird, it sounds like a biofilm.  try gargling with soda water. My speach therapist called it roto rooter for the mouth. It really helped, helps me.

Never heard of it.   It could be the sugar from the fireballs.  Rinsing with a little hydrogen peroxide may get rid of it.
