Give and get support around quitting

Support is one of the needs for me.

So I am at day 4 as an ex, my triggers seem to hit at 11am during the work week, have lots of support from coworkers who will walk with me if I need to just move and do something else for 10 minutes...afternoon I am finding I am very tired. I am so happy I am doing this but it's not easy, glad to have a place to communicate.

Good job and congrats on day 4! You're right it's not easy but it is doable and you'll be so glad you did it! Nicotine is a stimulant so it's not unusual to feel tired when you stop using it. Stick with it. Be proud of yourself and know you are doing the best thing you can do for yourself. Keep blogging and learn all you can about quitting and nicotine addiction. Welcome to the ex-Community you found the right place for support.

Congratulations on 4 days of quit smoking. You have come to the right place for a new way and a rebirth. This is all about you and what you are willing to do to be smoke free. Quitting smoking requires hard work.  It can be challenging at times but you will learn that it is doable if you adhere to NOPE not one puff ever no matter what.

Start first, by educating yourself about nicotine addiction.

Education is the key to a successful quit.

Welcome to EX, it really IS wonderful that your co-workers are supportive.  You are early in your quit so feeling sleepy is pretty normal...hey, I have over three years and I LOVE naps.  Guess that's probably not an option at work, right?  It will get easier and you are clearly doing what you need to do, so proud of you.

Welcome,

Ellen

So let's see, you wrote this two days ago and now you should be on day 6.  Tomorrow you will have achieved your first smoke-free week.  Spectacular!  Keep reading on here, keep learning, keep finding ways to distract yourself from the cravings.  And buy yourself little treats along the way on your milestones.  They're good incentives!
