Great article Thomas, explains why I was told years ago that our instinct to turn up the oxygen on COPD patients was not always the right answer.  Thanks for sharing this.  I appreciate it, as always.

Thomas3.20.2010‌ Well, the first article explained why I was taught as I was, the second article confirms your statement that this is all bologna.  I guess I have to sit down and re-read BOTH of them to see how many people were in each study.  I remember how they drilled it into our heads that if we increase oxygen on COPD patients, we would basically be stopping them from ever breathing without oxygen.  There were many times when it was abundantly clear that 2L was not adequate.
