Give and get support around quitting

I have smoked for over 50 years.  Through the years I have tried MANY different stop smoking aids, medicinal and nicotine based aids.  All to no avail.  The most effective device I have ever used was a pill I took about 45 years ago that made cigarettes taste awful when smoking.

I am now 79 years old and have several medical problems:  had a quadruple bypass, had 6 stints installed, have COPD, high blood pressure, arthritis, high colestrol, early kidney failure and other misc..

Help!!

Hi!  Boy that sounds like me.  I started smokig when I was 16.  I had a couple of stops of about 4 years then I'd have "just one" and be off and running again.  I'm now 72 and truly mean for this to be my last stop.  No more "just one" for me - it doesn't ever stop at "just one".

IHave a grand day!
