Give and get support around quitting
My quit date is March 23rd. In the beginning of March my non-smoking sister suggested that I pick a time each day that I would absolutely not smoke for example driving my car. I chose all day all night that I would not smoke. Since March 9th I have two cigarettes in the morning and then I don’t smoke all day all night. In the 10 days that I’ve been doing this I had one slip up and smoked a ciggarette in the evening. I am using the patch. I put it on after the two cigarettes in the morning. I am really freaking out over the thought of giving up those two cigarettes in the morning. I am more fearful of giving those two cigarettes up then I am not smoking all day all night how crazy is that? Any suggestions?
Checking on you hon before I hit the bed ... sending vibes that Netflix watching helped ~ tomorrow is a new day ... ~ Colleen
Your very kind to check in on me. The vibes you sent helped I relaxed watching movies til about 10:00pm or so and went to bed. I did not smoke, not one puff. It would be crazy for me to pick up one of those nasty things...... I'm a non-smoker. 48 hours plus and counting! Yippee

Sek4110 I dunno about clinging to a binky"! An Addiction is REAL! Nicotine is a real addicting substance. It is serious to use tobacco products, it is Dangerous, and it Kills! As well as a host to a zillion other health issues!
One moment at a time. Take it from a relapser....I am a continues work in progress. One day we will get our forever quit!!
Breathe.
Thank you
You are doing this...PLEASE pay attention to what YoungAtHeart said...HALT is a simple way to identify the trigger and to deal with it before it deals with you. It really does help...along with Not One Puff Ever and it really DOES get easier.

I am hanging in there but I can not even imagine getting to the point where I can say that it’s easy. When that day comes I’ll be so happy
It WILL come...first you will go through an entire day an not think of smoking and then there will be more and more...you just have to keep it in today, keep it in the moment and trust us that it will get easier.. We wouldn't lie to you.
