Weight Watchers?

Hello everyone!  A found this group and was curious if anyone would be interested in sharing dieting tips,  tricks, and recipes.  I joined Weight Watchers a little over 4 weeks ago and have been successful in dropping a few pounds.  I know that JACKIE1-25-15roller831‌  both belong to WW and have been successful in dropping lbs.    Anyone interested in  healthy eating is encouraged to participate here.

My best new find of the week is Good Thins Corn and Sea Salt Crackers - for 41 crackers it is only 3 WW points!  They taste a lot like corn chips.  I see a Chili pie in my future - as soon as it cools off a bit.  We hit 100 degrees today so it has been difficult to keep up with my walking program but doing OK with it thanks to the indoor track at our community center.

Since being athletic all of my life.  I love a challenge.  Gives me the drive.  However, I don't have to win.

Trying to get this one active.  There are some exercise groups too.  JACKIE1-25-15‌ is really involved with the exercise so she can send you links if you are interested.

I don't know of a "diet" site per say, but we have the Exercising and Health‌ group with activities going on there.  The only tip that I can give you is that you have to learn what works for you. think of it as a lifestyle change.  I choose to eat poultry and seafood 90 percent of the time.  Leafy greens and veggies in some form everyday,  low carbs /sugars. Minimum alcohol because of the calories and sugar.  I rarely eat fried food or take out.  I stay active and focus on eating healthy as opposed to losing weight. I have used WW on and off for over 25-30 years.  It has worked for me.  I am a lifetime member now. I am still not perfect.  Once in a while, I will have a candy bar.  It is a learning experience, just like quitting smoking.

To be perfectly honest, I lost about 150 pounds with WW.  I am not thrilled with the new WW Freestyle program since I was already making healthy eating choices so I tend to count macros and calories now, but do attend meetings weekly and have quite a few good food finds and recipes up my sleeve!

Wow!  That's super impressive!  Yes, everyone please start sharing recipes.  I reached my goal, and cancelled my membership.  Which means I no longer have access to their recipes. Which, like a dummy, I failed to copy any before letting go of my membership

I am sorry that you canceled. How long has it been? If you reach a goal and maintain there is no charge.  If it hasn't been too long I would call them and explain that you were not fully informed on how the membership worked.  They are very customer service friendly.  I love the fact that you can take their recipes and tweak them to suit yourself.  Or the ability to create your own.  I love the Chicken Veggie Chili, I posted it under Cooking Quitters‌.

I had no idea you could have a no charge membership like that!  I'll check into it.  I reached my goal mid-April and cancelled shortly after.
