Quitting....(Again)

Good afternoon everyone.  I have made the decision to quit my chewing habit....AGAIN.  I have quit for a month or two at a time in the past but the can keeps coming back.  Hopefully this time it sticks.......

Welcome, @dspielbusch and congratulations on making the decision to quit nicotine. It's totally okay that it has taken a few tries but I do hope you'll stick around since this is a supportive community that will help you on your quit journey. Here are some resources on the site that might help:

@dspielbusch Welcome to the ex and congrats on not giving up on your goal to be nicotine free.  This is a difficult addiction to beat, so don't be discouraged.  Most quitters have many attempts before finally being successful.

Educate yourself about nicotine addiction and create a quit plan.  Many have found success with knowledge and preparation.   It took me 50 years and many attempts to finally get it. I went into my quits blindly and was never successful.  In addition to some aids, I found the Ex a week prior to my quit.  For the first time I learned how to quit and had the support that was always lacking.

This link is a great place to start.

Make the commitment and you can do this too.  We're here to support you on your journey.  So reach out anytime you need help, want to share your experience or to support fellow quitters. We're all in this together.

Join many  of us on the Daily Pledge.  It's a great way to stay on track on day at a time.

Look forward to celebrating with you on the 29th.  Use this time to read material on the site and create your quit plan.

Stay busy and stay close.
