Question about lungs!

So its been 5 1/2 months now since i have quit.

I had a question or two here and wanted to see if i could get an answer.

1.I have just started exercising ( Cardio ) what i did for the first week was, Just did 20 mins on the treadmill. I know its not alot but i have been inactive in a gym for a long time. Now i was woundering How much should i aim for ( How many min?) and also what kind of pace should i be setting for myself?

2. How long does it usualy take for your lungs to clean out after you have quit smoking? (i have been smoking fior 4 1/2 - 5 years ). If anyone has any tips please let me know your secret 🙂

I would do 30 60s. U go to a track and sprint for 30 seconds then jog or do a brisk walk for 60 seconds and repeat. I would do it for like 30 minutes every other day It worked wonders for me. I can do 2 miles in 17 min. now. This took me like three weeks of running every other day. Hope this helps you.
