Give and get support around quitting
Here in the U.S., today is National Puppy Day. I don't have a puppy but if I did, she would look just like this! Post a picture of your pup in honor of this national holiday, even if you aren't from the USA 🙂 Pets are of great comfort and . can play a large part in our quits.
What a handsome pup you are, Lewis. Your eyes are so kind, yes they are...

Thank you!
Well hello, Oliver. What a handsome guy you are!! (Love the "save the date" concept! Did you pick that date for a particular reason?)
I am not an expert on the quit front, but I do have a few suggestions that are helping me:
I have learned from my former relapse and my current "rebound quit" that a successful quit needs two components (which you have a good 4 months to establish before your chosen quit date )
#1 : I will Not Take One Puff Ever (NOPE)
#2 : I will not smoke, No Matter What (NMW)
This is the basis for destroying the addictive hold that nicotine has on us.
If you haven't yet done so, now would would be a great time to write down your reasons for quitting.
Then consider how #1 and #2 above can help you honor those reasons.
Learning from our elders such as YoungAtHeart is also a wise decision.
I am wishing you well Kristen~ stay active on this site and give your quit an EXcellent chance for success ~ Suzy
