Give and get support around quitting
Today's my 4th day as an ex smoker and I did it f cold turkey.
How is your quit going? Give us an update. We are here to help you.
Welcome. Sorry I missed you're original post. Big congrats on your quit!

Hi, thank you for writing. I bought a pack...since 2 days I am smoking again. After 15 days of freedom I felt into a very deep depression...I just wanted to die, the withdrawal was unstandable. Cold turkey for an addict like me that has 41 years of slavery I think is too much. I plan on quitting again but I am trying to smoke just very few. Every time I try to quit it gets better....I have faith I will succeed one day.

Have you thought about using an aid? Either NRT or Chantix or Welbutrin? All our emotions are brought to the surface when we quit. The emotional part can be difficult--I know it was for me. But 15 days is a big success so get right back on track. Has depression been a problem for you before? If it's too difficult you could speak with a doctor. Don't give up, you can do this

Thank you Barbara, I did consider medicaments but I am afraid to get addict to them. The only other time I got so depressed it was last year after 11 days of freedom. And yes, I think I need to see a doctor....the freedom might just trigger a sadness that I buried inside of me and that I cover since too many years. Barbara, I appreciate so much your support. Thank you, GRAZIE !!

Check into Webutrin with your doctor. I was actually used for depression and they discovered it help people to quit smoking. It's worth discussing with a doctor.
