My name is bobbie, and I hope I can quit for good this time. I've tried many times in the past, never lasted beyond 2 days. I've used many "quit smoking" aids, and think I'm going to use Chantix, in addition to this site. I figure the more help I can get, the more successful I'll be. I've been trying to get ready, by limiting myself to 1 cigarette an hour (versus 3-4), and I'm going to start taking the Chantix on January 1. I've been concerned about my husband and sons being exposed to my smoking, and I'd really like to live long enough to see my grown sons be happy and successful. I've already got emphysema, and the doc says within 1-2 years I may have to be on oxygen if I don't quit. I watched my grandpa, mom and dad die of cigarette related illnesses, and can't believe I'm so stupid to keep smoking. I've just got to do it this time.
