Give and get support around quitting
I prepared and so far so good. I usually take a break at work about this time so I can feel the craving creeping up on me but I got this. One day at time.
I am on day 3 and so far I am feeling so much better today! Thank yoU!
Good work, annaaustin623! I just celebrated 50 days, and you're right; once you get a certain number of days under your belt, your motivation to keep going gets stronger and stronger. Just continue to prepare for cravings, remembering to keep your guard up even when you feel super confident.
I found that the way my body was changing--for the better--was my biggest motivator. I coughed so regularly that I hardly noticed it anymore. I couldn't even laugh without coughing. The day I quit was the last day I coughed. I haven't coughed since. Not even once. That alone keeps me pretty dedicated to this quit! I'm sure you will notice similar changes for the good, and that they will keep you on track.
Be proud. This decision to quit is huge!
Best of luck---Dawn
