It has been a few weeks since I’ve been here to blog. I did want to log on to wish all a happy and healthy holiday.
Thanksgiving is a time to appreciate the gifts and blessings that we may take for granted throughout the year. Kindling gratitude is a sure and proven way to help ourselves feel better and more resilient. And what better time to do it?
I encourage everyone in this wonderful community to spend a moment and think of a few things you are thankful for. You might give thanks for our health. You can commend yourself for having become smoke-free. Spend a moment thinking about a person in your life who you care for, or who cares for you. Notice the wonder of your breath, or the beauty of the sky. Appreciate family, friends, or members of this community!
Focusing just a bit on the things for which you can be grateful has a ripple effect. Life can be hectic and stressful, holidays can be challenging, but we can tap into a little oasis of well-being by taking a moment of gratitude. Happy Thanksgiving!
