ANSWER TO LAST WEEK'S QUESTION: JULIA CHILD
"When the U.S. joined WWII, Americans found unique ways to use their skills to support the war effort. For some, the skills they learned during the war shaped their future. Julia Child began her work with the Office of Strategic Services—the predecessor to the CIA—as a research assistant in the Secret Intelligence division and then transferred to the OSS Emergency Sea Rescue Equipment Section. The OSS was concerned with reports that sharks were accidentally setting off explosives and attacking downed pilots. Child and her colleagues set about creating a shark repellent to coat explosives and pilots’ life preservers. The Section team tried multiple solutions before eventually finding a recipe that worked—a recipe that Child later jokingly referred to as the “first recipe” in her cooking career." ( Intel.gov)

Hello Suzy, Happy Hump Day and as always thank you for posting Tuesday Trivia.
I was going to wait for my Wednesday visit from my Happy Hump Day Camel and ask her, but she called off sad.
I lost money on this a few years ago on a bet with my granddaughter. She bet me camels didn't store water in their humps. It cost me a whole dollar to learn that I was wrong for so many years and camels don't store water in their humps but in their "Bloodstream"
Because humps is just too obvious of an Old Wives Tale, I am going with the bloodstream, too.
I am surprised that Childs' war effort career did not include actual espionage. Seems like she had the right personality for it! But I guess chemistry better suits her later endeavors.
@YoungAtHeart Thanks for plying Trivia, Nancy 🙂 Yes, Julia would have been a fascinating "crusty broad" as an active spy and what great books/ movies / tv series just might have evolved!
