Gone My mother was a pretty negative person with very low self esteem also. She is now 74 and so negative it is difficult to be around her. She believes criticizing is helping us and continuously talks about all the miseries of her life over and over again. I love her very much but it is hard to be around such a negative unhappy person who has no desire to change. I have found some wonderful books by spiritual teachers that have transformed my life. Not those self help books filled with projects to do but books that teach spirituality from every religion on how the power of our thoughts and controlling our thoughts can completely change your life.
