SteveCoons I needed to read that tonight. I'm working the first day of new shift with very long schedules tonight, it's really slow, and really boring, and there is a HUGE part of me that was trying to convince the rest of me that it wouldn't be that big of a deal to go out an have just one smoke. I'm glad what I wrote about all or none helped. That's really the trap of the nicotine addiction, isn't it. Just one. Oh, I'll buy a pack and quit next week. Or, I'll keep smoking, but I'll cut down in the meantime. The simple truth of the matter is that smoking one more cigarette guarantees the return of cravings an hour after that one. The only way to stop the cravings is to find a way to NOT smoke that one more cigarette! It sucks. But, that's the price we pay to escape the smoking trap, we fell into as teenagers. All you can really do is stay confident that it really does get better. That's where a little bit of daily education is so important.
