I know my choice.
For breakfast, I will have mine with a little butter, cinnamon, brown sugar, and cream. But for a treat -you cannot beat no bake cookies - I grew up on them!
I have oatmeal for breakfast 2 to 3 times a week I usually put a little oatmeal in with my brown sugar
My favorite Oatmeal / Raisin Cookies
I make it the same as Jennifer with cinnamon and brown sugar , a little vanilla , no butter , a sprinkle of nuts or seeds and some kind of fruit , quite often cantaloupe to dress it up .
I love apple crisp with that nice brown toasted oat topping , cinnamon and brown sugar .,.
Think I'll have porridge for breakfast you convinced me .

When I was young, I ate it with milk and brown sugar.
Now just butter and maple syrup

Never eat the stuff. Yetch.
I make Oatmeal Jumbles - YUM - buttery, fruity, can't eat just one cookie bars.
I rarely eat it myself but, about 8 months ago I found myself having it for dinner when I needed something in my stomach to make it 15 hours until my next meal. I found it didn't give me reflux if I had not eaten early enough.
