I haven't had it in 50 years but it came to mind this morning.
Some recipes use french fried onions on top
Some say bread crumbs.
Some use Parmesan cheese and some use cheddar
Some use soup and mayonnaise, some use soup only.
Some use cream of chicken soup, some use cream of mushroom, one used cream of onion.
Some use peas, others do not.
What's your favorite recipe?
We should have an EX potluck where everyone brings a favorite casserole recipe.
Me too, but I shall not discuss peas.
I have so many favorite recipes but one that I LOVE the most was my Nanas Red Velvet Cake which I cannot make out her entire recipe she wrote out years ago If I can find it and when I have more time I will snap picture of it and share it. Perhaps someone else can read it.
My mom used to make a devils food cake with Ghirradeli chocolate and mayonnaise and buttercream frosting.
Talk about a moist cake!
mmmm.........yummy!! Brian was well known for his carrot cake and cream cheese frosting!
I am a fan of making layer cakes. Chocolate and vanilla.
JonesCarpeDiem with PEAS?
I said I'm not talking about peas.
WOW Thats awesome!!! Love to have recipe....do you happen to have it?????
You can get it off their website. Just search for Devil's Food cake and use 1 C of mayo and no sour cream.
Theirs have chocolate frosting or mocha frosting.
My mom always made a vanilla buttercream.
She normally made a 9 x 13 pan but they show theirs as a layer cake on the site.
Lovely conversation. Cream of celery soup was my choice. Have not made tuna casserole in ages.
