Daily Pledge, Bonfires and Quit Celebrations: Traditions born from the members
Hello, Everyone! Happy September!
I hope everyone is ready for Cindiboo's 30-day pledge challenge. She's pretty serious about this and told me I better have a great pledge page together. haha! So, get ready, get set, get serious about your Quit in September! Make a pledge and say N.O.P.E.
First, we have Labor Day, September 5th.
Labor Day in the United States is a public holiday celebrated on the first Monday in September. It honors the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of the country. It is the Monday of the long weekend known as Labor Day Weekend and it is considered the unofficial end of summer.
National Grandparents Day is a secular holiday celebrated in the United States since 1978 and officially recognized in a number of countries on various days of the year, either as one holiday or sometimes as a separate Grandmothers' Day and Grandfathers' Day. One celebrates both paternal and maternal grandparents.
Also on September 11th, we have National September 11th Memorial and Museum, dedicated to all the lives lost and/or affected by attacks made on America on September 11th, 2001.
The National September 11 Memorial & Museum are the principal memorial and museum, respectively. They commemorate September 11, 2001, attacks, which killed 2,977 victims, and the World Trade Center bombing of 1993, which killed six. The memorial is located at the World Trade Center site, the former location of the Twin Towers, which were destroyed during the September 11 attacks. It is operated by a non-profit corporation whose mission is to raise funds for, program, own, and operate the memorial and museum at the World Trade Center site.
The first day of Autumn is on September 22nd.
Say N.O.P.E. in September. Be serious about your Quit. Terrie 423 DOF
