I can't believe I'm over 200 days smoke free! There were so many things that could have derailed me from this. One of the things was my father dying at the end of January. I always thought that would be the biggest and most difficult thing for me to deal with in my entire life. I can't say that it was easy, but the thing that kept sticking in my mind was "I'd better not start smoking now because he's really gonna be pissed at me" And I would have been really pissed at myself.

Once I had made it to almost 6 months, it seemed like letting myself fall off the wagon would have disappointed me and taken me to a really horrible place. The negative outweighed the past comfort of that habit. So I just kept holding on. And here I am. I still cannot believe that I'm a non smoker. But I'm so excited that I am!

You can do it!!
