Daily Pledge, Bonfires and Quit Celebrations: Traditions born from the members
Okay, running to the back again. I'm thinking omelets for lunch. Going egg hunting.
So Pati, I hate to break it to you like this...but that's not the way to get eggs....I mean really???? Looks like fun, but I don't like your odds of coming out of that pen with any eggs in hand....lol
You didn't spend much time on a farm I am guessing???? Me, now I was born in a Pocatello, Idaho hospital...however, my family...well we lived in a "chicken coup" back in the hills of the outskirts of town....! That's right, a chicken coupe. My first bed was the back seat of an old 31 Buick that my mother told my dad to go get and they put orange crate lumber around it to keep me from rolling out. I had the best bed in the coupe...I can tell you a thing or two about chickens.....yep. I've come along way from a chicken coupe in Idaho in 1952, to a luxury apartment outside of Washington DC just before my retirement with the federal government....
So when you see me rejoicing in this life...maybe you can see that I just might have a little extra reasoning behind my emotions...
That's the way we lived back then....There were the haves....the have nots....then there was us, not welcome in either league....that is literally dirt floor poor...
"I survived!!!!!!"
wow Pops. thank you for that bit of Pops history. I just though that chicken clip was fun, but must admit, the only thing I know about chickens is from my Grandma's potato farm up in Maine when I was a kid.
Because you are my favorite Cowboy Barista, I am going to lay off the babe in the back seat of a 57 Chevy memes . . .
