Where's my Poll

I started a poll. I had to select from a drop down of locations to put it in before it would post. None of the locations on the list really seem to fit. How is anybody ever going to see my poll?

It could go in https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/community/conversations?sr=search&searchId=7f7f7ac8-4170-4a9a-af8...‌ or https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/community/community-help?sr=search&searchId=06e87295-c0d7-430b-8f...‌ to get most visibility.  I agree that there isn't a definitive place for this particular poll.

When trying to post my poll, the drop down list for locations would not allow me to post in conversations or community help, or I would have. One of the reasons I started this poll, besides having always been curious about this question, was to be able to link to a poll  in the EX Café stream to help introduce site members to more cool site features. Please put it in community help, or whereever you think it belongs. I want people to be able to to see my poll and respond. Your response to Kristin's question, which you referenced earlier, pointed her back to her own content. That does not explain how to make a poll easily accessible to site members.

My poll Who are we? does not appear on the home page, My Ex Feed (whether filtered by content or not), conversations, conversations/content (whether filtered by category or not). How can others access it? I may be missing something simple; I appreciate your help.

I'm looking into this again.  I had tested this ability just yesterday to ensure it was working but apparently some settings were reverted.  I can confirm it isn't allowing the creation of polls in Community Help‌ or Conversations‌ so I'll move the them in there until we get the permissions fixed again. Sorry!

Yeah, I linked Kristen's question in your question so you could see that some questions are already asked and answered.  I don't see where it pointed her to her own content though.  Please show me where that is so I can fix the cyclical reference.

I'll look to see where it exists in the streams.  I have moved the poll to Conversations now.  In the future, should it get posted in the wrong place and you feel it should be somewhere else, you should be able to move it to a better destination (once we have the above mentioned permissions issue resolved). Once things can be easily placed in Conversations‌ and Community Help‌ then it should more accessible to everyone at large. Certainly looking in All Content | Polls will be the most direct route to finding it.

Kristen's question was the same as mine, "Does anyone see it? (referring to her poll). Your response referred her to her own profile:

This is not exactly what you asked - Mark has already helped you with that.  But if you lose something that you have posted and don't know where it is - check "content" in your profile.  Everything that you have written (blog, discussion, poll, or questions) will show up there.

True. I didn't answer that.  Sorry, I overlooked it and immediately went to investigating and solving.  It wouldn't be visible except for in your profile or viewing All Content or in the Social Group you had originally put it in.  However, when the permissions get fixed this shouldn't be a problem and it should become a non-issue.
