Don't forget to set a quit date

We're glad you are on the EX Community but we may not be seeing a quit date for you.  When you've set a quit date on BecomeAnEX we're able to customize the notifications you receive to support your quit journey. We're also able to celebrate your milestones on the community and others can better help you where you are in your quit.

The steps are easy

1. Ensure your quit date is set on My EX Plan. Look for the green box on the right and click the pencil.
2. Come back to the Community.
3. Check your Community profile**.

** If your quit date appears on your EX Plan but not on your Community Profile, don't worry. This is because you have a sponsor here on EX that does not permit your quit date to show.

No, I don't have a quit date. Dealing with depression and anxiety as well. I know, NO EXCUSE. Cutting down day by day. This appears to be a huge mountain I am facing.  I pray, I cry. I am on the patch. Down to 5 to 8 cigs a day. I feel like I am lost. I plan on trying acupuncture to help. I don't know what else to say except I am drowning...Carol123

Good morning bonita123   Welcome to the Ex and congrats on your desire to quit smoking.  Some quitters don't use a quit date and other's do.  For many it's a good time to educate yourself about nicotine addiction and to create a quit plan leading up to the date.   Is there someone you can talk to about the depression and anxiety?

I scheduled my quit day again  for Saturday December 5. I have been doing a lot of self talk and I made me a chart I can mark off the hours. I also printed No Smoking signs and placed them next to my favorite chair and on TV stand to have a visible reminder.  My brother in law smoked his last cigar so we are in this together.  Stay safe.
