Happy Anniversary Ellen!!

Happy 5 year quit Anniversary (yesterday) to my dear friend Ellen. For all of you that know her I don’t have to tell you what a wonderful caring person she always is to everyone. She is strong, wise and kind. I wish my ear friend much health and happiness. Everyone has one person that really helped you with your quit. She was mine. Even with her own difficulties and health issues she was right there for me. I was thrilled to get to meet her. Gentle hugs dear friend. Congratulations!!

Thomas3.20.2010‌ You are one of the people I am most grateful to have met and to learn from...I might have been able to do this without you but it would have been a whole lot harder.

Hugs,

Ellen

Thanks to EVERYONE!

WooHoo!  5 years!  I’m wishing you all the best. You helped me so much when I was a newbie. You certainly have my continued prayers for your health issues. Since I quit I have been diagnosed with an ulcer, acid reflux, gerd, gastropareses, a bout of diverticulitis that required hospitalization, fatty liver and polymyalgia rheumatica that I must take prednisone for. I have gained a ton of weight. I am so glad that I quit when I did or I might be in worse shape. I am 73 now and still work part time. I hurt and I get discouraged but have never been sorry I quit those damn cigarettes. Oh, yeah, I have papillomas in my breast that may require surgery. Yippee! Old age is not for sissies!  I know that all these things are a part of getting older and some days it all gets me down. Sorry, I didn’t mean to go off on all that stuff!  I guess what I’m trying to say is that I know your 5 years has not been easy and I also know that you have been a godsend to many, including me.

Yes LanaKay‌, I also have more diagnoses now that I'm in my 70's!! But, we are still here and we are still determined to be non-smokers!!
