Feeling weak on Day 44 Quit

Hi Everyone

Today is day 44 of Freedom from cigarettes.  I am finding craves so bad, yesterday and today.  Why so strong?

I feel like the first day quit.  I am doing so much on my list to keep busy, however I have been under stress from family issues (one of my triggers)...working through their drama and for once I am doing good with all of them.  Then,  I get off the phone and the crave comes on like a hurricane.   I am going to help out here at Ex’s to beat this feeling.  Like Ellen says, the more we help others in the journey the more it helps us get stronger.  Asking God to give me strength because the crave creeps up like a demon in the darkness.  I will get through this, I will...Colleen aka sweetp

Great idea to stay spend time at Ex helping out for your smobriety. You've worked your quit for 44, keep it coming!

One of the things I did that helped me was to copy those words of others that hit home.  Could be a sentence, a paragraph, or a whole blog.  And I put them in a file I could refer to at will.  It was part of my quit kit.  As we progress on this journey we need to add to our quit kit and subtract those things that stop working.  We need to stay ALIVE in this process.  The homework never ends.  It just become more fun.

I think the self talk can lift you out of those low places.

As you know I like

"I don't do that anymore."

Why those words?

Because they aren't harsh.

They are accepting, yet

They are a reminder.

A reminder is what we need to keep us on track.
