I am craving badly today, I'm trying to distract, but just want to get smokes. I sure don't want to go back to day 1 again. I will wait it out.

Just do not engage with your addict about the merits of smoking or not smoking. I hope you do not have anything to smoke at your house. or workplace. Go and take a shower, get soaking wet. Do you have the list of things to do. YoungAtHeart where is that list? You were smart for coming here.
Great job, blogging instead of smoking. I had one slip at 9 days when I began this quit. I needed to figure out why so it did not happen again. I figured out it was emotional, depression to be exact. That is when I began again with the realization that I would never smoke again no matter what I was feeling. It worked with hard work. That was over 5 years ago. You can do this. Go out and enjoy your day.
Thank you I am ok now. I have been having trouble since getting back from my trip. I have a ton of things to distract with here. It's bitter cold outside, but I will dress for it, and walk to the grocery store to get my prescription soon. We don't sell smokes here in grocery stores. I will be okay, I have 10 days smoke free. I like to sing, thanks for that! The mirrors will probably crack, lol.
I'm just seeing this now Chris XO whew you made it through you are doing this quit sweetie, congratulations on your entering the DDC that's awesome keep stacking them up one precious Smokefree Day, hour, minute or even a second at a time as long as you keep stacking up then you are doing super fantastic.....
I love to sing as well, Christine! Totally tone deaf but fully enthusiastic I used to threaten my kids that I'd sing to them if they couldn't behave....they promised to be good!! It's still a running joke about me singing "Indian Lake" to the kids. They would do ANYTHING to not hear that song!!
Glad you are doing better!! You did what you were supposed to do when things got shaky. Great job!!!! Give yourself a pat on the back Proud of you!!
I just read you are feeling more like smoking since you got back from your trip. I think a lot of it is missing Brian but also just coming back to where you were a smoker. I don't know your living situation or finances but perhaps a new situation would serve you and give you a new freedom?
Akin to Dale's idea, how about rearranging the furniture, or move the living room furniture to the dining room and vice versa? Maybe shop online for some winter decor? New placements and a silk arrangement for your eating space? Buy some houseplants to green up your space? Change it up so your views are different? Make it your NEW, nonsmoking home.
Above all else, don't argue with yourself about smoking. You can't win that argument! Take slow/deep breaths instead, or come here and read. You simply don't smoke anymore - so quit thinking about it!

Giulia has the right idea. Try to see Bohemian Rhapsody. Went with my daughter 2 weeks ago and again this past weekend with hubs. SUCH an unexpectedly good movie!
Proud of you. You are doing so well.
Blessings

I’m glad you feel better now I’m just seeing this post. Here is some music to put you in a good mood and maybe get you to dancing some. Changing how we feel inside helps a lot when we get triggered or just if you ever get sad or mad. I’m glad you blogged you needed help. You can do this.

Waiting it out is an excellent idea, Christine!! No more day 1s for you You can also distract those thoughts by doing something you enjoy. Take a walk, do a crossword puzzle, clean out a junk drawer...anything to get your mind off you craving. Stay strong, girl!! I know you can
