Greetings!
You're receiving this notification because you were a member of the community before we moved to our new community platform on 1/24/2017. When we initially moved there were some things that couldn't be moved over (Private Messages and Wall Posts) due to some technical issues. The issues that prevented importing Private Messages and Wall Posts have been resolved and we've the process of importing them, including the Forums posts.
If you're listed on this document you're a member who had over 100* posts on your wall prior to the move. Since the current community doesn't have a "wall" on your profile to post on, we've converted them to Status Updates that @mention you. Since these posts are from the past, you'll likely want to mass dismiss most of them since you've already read them. You're certainly welcome to reminisce if you like!
We'll be importing the status updates in chunks over the next 5-6 business days. Because they'll appear at the top of your inbox, you'll need to do a little work to get your inbox cleaned up after they've been imported so you don't miss new notifications that come in from current content you're interacting with. We did the best we could with minimizing the clutter with the remainder of the migration but this wasn't avoidable. Hopefully this process will be fairly painless. Thanks in advance for your patience!
To mass dismiss the @Mention notifications, perform the following steps on your computer as it would be cumbersome on a phone or tablet:
*These directions will work for people with fewer than 100 @Mentions so feel free to spread the word if you see anyone else who would benefit from the directions.

Mark, I was involved in several computer conversions at work over the years. I worked at a college, so there were lots of important records that needed to be maintained. They are never fun. "Short term inconvenience for long term improvements" At least that's what they tell us when they're doing road improvements.
Thanks for the update.
