When you begin to use BecomeAnEX, you will receive notifications automatically about activity happening across the community, both on the site itself through the Inbox icon in the upper right hand corner of every community page, and via the email address you used to sign up for BecomeAnEX.
The Inbox icon will show a number next to it showing the number of notifications that you have not yet read. Clicking it will take you to your community Inbox page.
Your Inbox shows the activity that's closest to you -- information that is tied to your name, or your activity on BecomeAnEX. This automatically includes @mentions, replies to discussions you're participating in, content people share with you, and direct private messages from other BecomeAnEX members.
Unread items are bold. Once you’ve read an item, it fades a bit but does not disappear. You can still click to open and re-read.
These notifications will also be sent to the email address you used to sign up for the community, because it’s easy to miss BecomeAnEX notifications if you are not regularly logged in. However, if these emails become too frequent or distracting to keep up with, you can change your preferences to receive just certain notifications, or none at all.
