Give and get support around quitting

We must stay on the path.

This man is an inspiration for me.  I have read his books and changed behaviors because of him.  I have watched this video every day since I quit nicotine and it helps me, gives me strength.  I hope it does the same for you.

I KNOW this to be true!  I very much live like this - always have.  I was very ill, and the folks at the rehab place where I landed told my daughters that I would not get strong enough to ever come home to my home again. My daughters said, "you all don't know our Mom."   We had strenuous PT in this place twice a day, and I worked every one of them for at least an hour.  Most days I wanted to stay in bed, I was so weak and depressed and still a bit sick - but I didn't  - not one single day.  When I finally got out of there, I could not even stand up unassisted, so weak was I still.  But EVERY day I worked at getting stronger.  That was 6 years and many broken bones ago.  I think my overall weakness led to unsteadiness, falls and breaks - and I think ALL of it started with that surgery.

AND last summer I swam 35 minutes of crawl laps five days a week; this Fall I washed every wall; every window, every curtain in my house; painted a floor, two windows and 14 outside windowsills; detailed my truck, transplanted 75 spring bulbs, so far raked about 14 loads of leaves and hauled them to my woods.

And I quit smoking over eight years ago, on my first and only attempt, after 35 years of addiction.  I worked at it from Day One.

If you WORK at it, you can overcome most anything!

Great video!
