Wow he sure can sing.....
He sure CAN, pretty impressive instrumentals accompanying him too.
I like the quilts on the wall.
They are awesome!
When I used to record, I sat in a walk in closet with my recording equipment and used the hanging clothes to deaden the bounce.
When I do auditions for voice over work, I do it in my closet with clothes to dampen the sound right now. I hear ya! Difference is we have to know so damn much about modern technology and how to record it and transfer it to the particular desired format (which changes all the time) and send it and ....and then all the programs change and you have to get a new mike or a new program on you computer or...because they updated and your computer won't go there and...
I don't know about you, but I sure as hell preferred the old days. In many ways it's easier with modern technology. But in other ways it's so much harder. Going in for an audition in person - there's no comparison to a video of the same thing.
That's why I, personally, have lost all interest in working in this new medium. Even when you get the job - I find it doesn't come up to my artistic standards. Because most of it has become just technical. But I'm old school. And I "get that." I marvel at the capabilities of the world right now. And I find it endlessly fascinating. But there's something about a real LP with it's pops and the sounds played on a real record player, that can't compare to a perfectly re-mastered - whatever. And that is something those of a younger generation will never experience. They will only experience perfection in sound. Or shall we say "specifically perceived sound." But then I think for the new generation they don't have any sense of history nor desire to "go there." And that's OK. I wasn't interested either until after it was too late to ask the questions of those who were still alive.
there's a warmth in analog that digital doesn't have. I have a number of 1/2 speed mastered LP's. This is where the band is recorded live with the signal going straight to the lathe and therefore bypassing any tape loss quality. It makes it sound like the musicians are right in the room with you.
Ah I couldn’t get it to do anything ... bummer
Can you play youtube videos?
