Yes, that is exactly who I would compare her to...Karen Carpenter's voice was amazing and she died WAAAAY too young. He was 76 if I am reading that obit right...he was a great keyboardist.
She wasn't so bad either. Did you see the first video? If you watch her hands and listen, you can tell what she's playing and what he's playing.
She was wonderful, they were a lovely couple. I used to watch their TV show, not sure how long it was on.
He was a very talented musician May he RIP.
