and I love the way the music in this video grows.
I never got to Europe.
Almost took the Orient Express across Russia with The Young Americans but it never happened during my 2+ years with them.
I did go on tours to the Orient including Australia, Japan, the Phillipines, Thailand, Taipei, Okinawa, and Guam, with them.
They made a point of providing the local culture in the way of tours and getting out so we actually had more than the usual perform, tv and radio shows and hotel room cycle most musical tours become.
Nancy went to Koln this past summer.
This is a great short video.
There are more after this one ends.
If travel fascinates you, check these out and save that money you aren't spending on smoking and plan a trip somewhere. 🙂
That's a beautiful picture Dale, so peaceful and serene, you've done some traveling to some really interesting places, I'm headed off to LA la land sleep well.
Actually it's a video. 3 minutes.
Sleep well.
I was actually THERE this fall. I traveled that plaza, climbed those steps, walked those cobblestone streets, saw those statues. It's a shame the video didn't show the cathedral interior architecture or any of the stained glass windows. Here's a sample from our photos.
The pews had elaborate wood carvings - and there were many altars. It was AWESOME!
well yeah but did you have that music supporting you? 🙂
beautiful pictures Nancy
Sigh.
Thanks, JonesCarpeDiem for this riveting experience! and https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/people/Youngatheart.7.4.12 love the pics!
Awesome pictures, Nancy. Thanks.
The video images are gorgeous, Dale, truly. But that music is alive. Really enjoyed it. I've never heard any of the stories you must have about being with The Young Americans. How many of us get to do something like that? Too cool. I love to travel. I love to taste and touch and hear it all. Thanks for the link.
