Welcome to the EX Café Friday March 31, 2017
Hello World. Your coffee is served.
Good morning, Pati. That coffee looks delicious!
Hi there susan_m. Can I get you anything special to go with that java this morning?
Yummmm, Pati - that looks delicious! I would love a nice cup of tea this morning - surprise me! I am so happy that it's Friday!!!
susan.m ... LOL ... here's mine.
And the very best cuppa for you, too. Sorry it took so long - looks like coffee, but it's chai
I love chai! We have a number of Indian drivers that work for our company, so I have been enjoying this for years. Not to mention some fantastic food!
I love Indian food too. My son got married in in Punjab India 3 years ago. My daughter-in-law is from there. What an amazing time. And the food - to die for. I make a mean tandoori chicken myself.
That is fantastic! I'll bet the wedding was beautiful and quite the event. Very, very, cool, Pati!
Oh, Tandoori Chicken is so delicious. Do you cook it in clay? Give me that with lots of cilantro and some naan and I am set!
I use a clay pot, and a traditional Punjab recipe, most of the time. I also have a recipe that you don't need a pot for, and it's pretty good, too. But let's talk naan. That's the four letter spelling of "heaven," right? I have not mastered naan.
Have you watched the movie The 100 Foot Journey?
Yes, I love that movie. I may have to watch it again, now that you mention it.
Have you seen The Kite Runner?
Same here! I have seen the Kite Runner, and I also read the book. Cried buckets over both.
I loved the book so much susan_m, I was afraid the movie wouldn't live up to it. No problem there.
susan.m , the trip was incredible, the wedding was 5 days. Over 1000 people at the wedding dinner, outside, under huge canopies. I made so many new friends.
Parlez-vous français? In honor of the Eiffel Tower opening on this date in 1889, I have learned how to say "breakfast" in French. It's pronounced "fresh croissants."
Happy morning, everyone.

Happy morning to you too Patti!
Hi Sharon JustSharon! Great to see you this morning. How are things up your way?
We've got a beautiful day going down here. I've brought you a cuppa.
Thanks Patti, great cup of coffee. Things up my way are busy right now, but I'm still managing to get to EX as often as I can.
Glad to hear it. I haven't been keeping up - good stuff going on, I hope.
Well I blew a quit March 19th after 132 days, but I've got a new date for April 6. My grandson is going to be coming home from Colorado late May, I'm all psyched up for that.!
Yes, I was sorry to see you lose your quit. I know you will get it back though. When it comes to smoking, you are a born quitter. I see it in your future.
I'd be psyched to see my grandson too. Cool.
A very good morning to each of you at the ex cafe, everything looks scrumptious, hummmmm could I get an EXtra large black coffee and maybe a sugar doughnut to go please and thank you and a humongous Happy Friday to the Monday to Friday working person because whoo hoo at the end of the day it's Happy Wk end as well as another DAY WON!

Nancy TristanNani, you are a woman after my own heart. Here is our strongest cuppa
Yikes -- how can I be out of sugar on a Friday morning? Be back in a bit, hope the market is open ...
Good morning all of my EXer friends!!!!!
I slept in this morning...woo hoo!!!!! I first opened my eyes @ 9:15 am to the sound of rain beating against my window....hmmm....let me think....."
"I can't stand the rain....against my window....."
and "I can't stand the rain!!!....against my windoooow....."
Oh well, I think you get the idea....so c2q, when you get a chance, could you put some coffee in my mug????
I am in the mood for some light laughter....hmmm
Q: How does a train eat?
A: It goes "Chew....Chew!!!!" Okay, that was sorta dumb....but here's one that might take you back...
aint he just tooo cute!!!!! Then guys, you just might want to show a little more respect for that hard work that your wives do in the house......
And Pops makes another big splash onto the EX cafe scene!!!!!
I am rocking with 311 days of freedom today....
Good to see you today, Pops,
And glad to hear you slept in...
No ridin' today,
But perhaps a cupcake?
311 - still crazy after all these days
It's pouring buckets in the mid-Atlantic today, so perhaps something warm for breakfast? Maybe a stack-a and a milky white coffee?
Nancy Youngatheart.7.4.12, I think you have discovered the cure for the Raining Friday Blues. Let me grab the cream for you, I didn't have an extra hand.
Wow, I had a hard time getting on here this morning, my computer kept telling me that the site was timing out. I would LOVE a cup of coffee with some vanilla latte foamy stuff. I actually bought some of that and had a cup earlier, hope it's not horrendously high in calories because is sure tastes good.
Happy Friday to those of you who do NOT have to work every weekend.
Good morning Ellen, try this one....
I think c2q is @ the mkt right now.....my pooter is running okay today, might be a local thing.
and I'm getting the cats & dogs here in Germantown Youngatheart.7.4.12
Yes, Pops, just got back a few minutes ago. Thanks for the help! We're supposed to be getting those thunderstorms you and Nancy Youngatheart.7.4.12 are, ah, enjoying, later today.
I'm hoping to get some good pictures. Not as close as this one though, that someone near me took 8 months ago.
Keep the dogs -
send the cats!

Speaking of cool cats in the rain . . . don't get much cooler that Sister Rosetta Tharpe, here in 1964 in England
This will cure those computer blues elvan. All calories served at the EX Café are virtual. Honest.
Oh my, that lools absolutely amazing, thank you! Yes, keep the calories.
Maybe it was related to the storm, ya think?
Good Morning Everyone and thank you for the wonderful entertainment and smiles this Friday morning. I am going to learn how to post pictures soon! I love what you all do to make this site fun! Now you've got me hungry!! Hugs! Laura
Hi Laura Lauralives. What are you hungry for? Let me see if the kitchen can fill your request.
p.s. you know I stole that image. It is really just me back here. be kind.
Wow you guys, I need to set up my alarm for 4:00am, I am always so late, so here is my good morning to all:
Hi, Elder, Daniela-3-11-2016. Friday morning sure makes me happy!
Or is it hanging with my EX buddies that does it? Maybe both.
I think 4:00 AM Friday alarms should be outlawed. You don't have to be the first one in the door, good-looking. It's always nice to have you here.
Those pancakes look yummy - I need a little warmin'! My 3/4 acre is a puddle this morning (and I live on top of a hill!) My sump is working overtime (thank heavens!).
I am SO fortunate not to have to go out in this today. Blessed, actually! Anybody who does, Let's Be Careful Out There!
Thanks for the fun company!
First, something to help warm you up.
Then, something to help you dry off. Joan is a personal favorite.
Love the song and video. Perhaps music is something I need to explore now that I have time. I have welcomed the peace and quiet since I raised two teenage girls (one of them a holy terror!) as a single Mom and the noise level in my life was off the charts.
Thanks for an intro!
I am very pleased you like it, Nancy. I think she is an amazing musician. I raised a terror of a teenage son - and lived to become best friends with him. I have had "moderate to severe" hearing loss since I was an infant. Maybe that is why music means so much to me. Anyway, glad you like it.
Get into some ""reggae." It's great for the psyche, and the rhythm is fantastic for the body to get moving with...(I love the theme of one love, and one society all getting along too...)
Reggae is my go to dancercize music Pops8. too bad it seems to still be such a drug culture.
lShe's HOT!!!! Thanks for the introduction c2q
Cool, Giulia. Do you mean Joan Armatrading or Sister Rosetta? Either way, I love them both. Glad you enjoyed.
Sister Rosetta. I hadn't gone back up to read the earlier things here. Wow, Armatrading is lovely! Thanks for that introduction too!
Hi Jim freeneasy. You are always too funny. I think our minion brains must be in sync today.
Allright gang....it's time for Pops to get off the stool and get some living done.....I blogged a little about my day in a blog this morning....I don't blog much these days...check it out if you get some time...If you are new to the communitiy...I encourage you to read the last part at least....
