Good morning Susan and everyone here at the ex cafe I've had plenty of coffee already but I wanted to wish each of you my friends and fellow Exers a super fantastic day, here's a picture I took this morning of my 13 yr old Samantha Digger Jane Hartley in her run it's 32 °F this morning which is fairly mild but I want much warmer weather which is supposed to come by the wk end, I'm soooooooo tired of the white crap but I'm very secure in my quit so with vigilance along with N.O.P.E, I will wait impatiently for Spring, Happy Hump Day.
Hey Marilyn! What a beautiful dog!!! Glad to hear that you are hitting 32 today... maybe some of that while stuff will melt. You DO know that snow is a four letter word, right?
Hee, hee, hee susan-m , thanks for the smile snow is definitely a 4 letter word especially in the end of March.
Ha ha ha c2q hummmmm four letter words *_ *_ *_ *_ , plus the word Heat like you said and Crap is another four letter word, ha, ha what other words can you think of Susan-M ? . I can think of a Few! I enjoy life so much more since quitting smoking even the SNOW which is another four letter word doesn't get me longing for a Cancer Stick because I don't do that anymore, I love my Freedom.
Good one, MarilynH! I know that there's another four letter word that you shovel.... kind of like when your addiction feeds you lies... you know it's shoveling sh*t, but when we still smoked, we (as addicts) believe every word. No more, because we broke free from our addiction - it has been the greatest gift of love that I have ever given myself!!!
Thank you susan_m , hee, hee, I still shovel sh*t out in Samantha Digger Jane Hartley's dog run at least twice a day but yay for all of us Exers because we're not shoveling the bull sh*t of thinking up EXcuses for the horrid addiction of the Cancer Sticks because thankfully we don't do that anymore, thanks again for getting several smiles from me today Susan, yay for the best gift that any of us will ever give ourselves which is the gift of LIFE!
Hi MarilynH Glad you're getting a taste of Spring. I'm late to the cafe this morning - I slept it. Now it's off to a doctor's appointment for a follow up to the facet injections I got 2 weeks ago. I'll be back in time for a second cup with you.
Wishing you a great appointment with the Dr c2q and when you get back we'll have a coffee together, hopefully on the veranda.
Hey susan_m. You bet I'll join you. Just a quick cup for me though. Then I"ll be back in a bit.
It's beautiful here on the sundeck this morning.
I hear you freeneasy ,I'm the same way, I really like my COFFEE....but I've already had my quota today......
freeneasy Thank goodness!!! Glad (and not a little jealous!) that you were able to go back to sleep!
Morning, all, coffee, please. I have a terrible earache this morning and I am not moving around very well. I have to get my car inspected and it needs two new tires. JUST what I was hoping for. The person is ordering them and will call later today. I really need new EARS! Or at least ONE. Inspection has to be done before Saturday. I just HAPPENED to look at the windshield and the license plates...we did not get notified by DMV, guess that must have been a cutback.
I think just coffee will do.
Ouch. I hear you on that one. It's allergy season for me here on the Florida Gulf Coast. That means enlarged sinuses, and that means earaches. It seems like they just jump back and forth from ear to ear every week. Nasal saline spray helps, some of the time. Here's to the end of allergy season, getting the inspection done and the new tires in place!
I left the window open in the bathroom and I am sure that's what caused this. My nose is SO PLUGGED, I am going to try a saline irrigation if it will go into the cement block that is in my nose. Thanks c2q
Oh Ellen, my goodness. I will bring you coffee with a great big HUG - sounds like you could use it. Besides, the people who can't hear me talk (sometimes I go on and on and on and on and really don't say diddly squat) are the best.
I am kidding of course..... I hope things look up for you and quickly!
My ear has hurt all day long. I took a sudafed to see if I could at least release some of the pressure and I also irrigated my nose with salt water but I think I really did it, leaving the window open all night. My allergies are NOT happy. I will take some benadryl tonight and I will CLOSE the window, sorry, kitty.
I used to drink a POT of coffee every day when i smoked, now I drink one cup a day and I never liked the taste of it, I only drink it to wake up in the morning. I am not a fan of green tea although my son says it is because I don't understand how to brew it...not sure he's right but I told him if he wants to brew me a cup to feel free to do so.
I really hope and pray that your ear feels better soon and I hope you'll be able to sleep, huge hug elvan .
Oh Ellen....if I took a Benadryl I would sleep until Saturday! I am such a lightweight!
I buy Bigelow Organic Green Tea bags....I brew 3 for a one gallon pitcher. It's perfect! I prefer my tea unsweet, my husband slightly sweet. If I'm brewing for him, I'll add a cup of sugar.
I sure hope that ear feels better soon!
I use the tea bags and read recently not to brew greent tea more then a minute because it gets bitter and loses it's good taste I tried that an it does taste better that way . It is really good for the immune system and would be so good for you Ellen I also make ice tea with it . Also a real nice one is Bigello's ( sp ! ) green constant comment tea they also make constant comment with black tea.
Wow, we are All Addicted to Cofee!!! Better coffee than nicotine, right? Let alone all the benefits coffee has on our brain!
Good morning every one, finishing my first, going to get a refill in a minute.
Meanwhile, Susan, I brought you some help, so the café is still attended while you have other stuff to do, like real life work
And some Romanian donuts, just like my mom makes them (one recipe I never get right
Not me I broke the coffee habit about 6 months ago I just realized I disliked the taste of coffee so much since i quit smoking so why was i drinking it I barely ever finished a cup so I switched to what I like now green tea and it has much less caffeine and I don't need cream or half and half in it !
The other day I had an MRI scheduled for early morning and it was at least a 40 minute drive plus it was pouring rain and my alarm did not go off so I awoke late with barely enough time to get dressed and be there on time .....I remember when I was a smoker I would have to have at least 3 cigarettes and 2 coffee's before even thinking about driving any where ! it is so nice to be free and have energy without filing myself with nicotine and caffeine too . I do agree take the caffeine anyday over the cancer sticks !
Sorry to be late to the party, but today was my scheduled "socialization" day. I picked up that term when I volunteered at the SPCA. They kept a chart which they titled "Socialization" where you indicated if you took a kitty out to love and pamper and it stuck with me. I had coffee at a bakery with a neighbor and lunch out with a friend. Just now settling in to rest my ankle and (other) knee.
I will self-serve myself some coffee with milk if it's not too late!
Put your feet up YoungAtHeart and rest that ankle and your knee on your other leg okiie dokie my friend.
YoungAtHeart Nancy, you had a great day, didn't you???? I'm a little late getting it to you, but enjoy!! I am super jealous of your day! I tnink I will pour a cup and join you, and tell you about my afternoon.
My daughter is a junior in college, and will be studying abroad in Amsterdam this fall. She's spending a semester there, and is very excited......And it's very expensive. She received a major scholarship today, and it was 3x what was expected. Fantastic!
Then, a bonus: she was offered the internship she wanted for the summer.
Yes, indeed, it has been a good day!!!
People have told me over the years that until you travel abroad, you don't see our country honestly....and I found that to be true. Your daughter will have a GRAND time...I know the $$$$ will make it a bit less stressful for you. She is a very lucky young lady - and to have that help available, you must have raised her well, too. Good job, Mom!
Cool, susan_m about your daughter's scholarship. When is she going to Amsterdam? I loved it there, especially in the Spring. That is great news about the internship, too. I'm excited for her. I agree with what Nancy YoungAtHeart says about traveling abroad, especially as a student. They don't call it "abroad" for nothing - your world view expands. Cheers to you both.
Aaah thank you Susan-M , you're so sweet and not too many people have said that but I thank you because it makes me feel happy my dear friend and fellow Exer, ♡
Good morning, everyone!!! Thanks for stopping by!
