Hi Pops. Happy Sunday. I'll grab myself a cup and hang out for a while. I'll be reading the blogs, waiting for the sun to show up.
Good morning c2q!
I am fast huh!!!??? I am @ work and am ready to go! Let's get this party going.....do you want to call me about talking me through this tag mess, or did you fix it already?
This last week has been extremely tough on the nerves and the mind. I have seen firsthand some very dear friends of mine have their entire lifestyle completely upended with the stroke of a pen. Poof! gone...and to be no more...that being their source of income and mental stability. Watching that happen to over 400 friends of mine that work just 35 feet down the hallway from me...well, let's just settle with the fact that I have not been feeling my self lately....So I certainly hope that I can find some levity here in the cafe today....let's party!!!!!!
Sunday Blessings to each of you here at the ex cafe, thanks for opening up so early Pops I think I'll set outside and relax for awhile.
Let's hurry up and get the good stuff out BEFORE elvan shows up and asks for her black coffee and dry toast - blech!!!
How about a cafe mocha and some chocolate frosted donuts ---- with maybe some brownies on the side (with nuts - 'cause I'm feeling like a nut this morning!!)

BA-DA-BOOM!
"-)
When the TV show "Homicide., Life on the Street" finished up the series, filmed in Baltimore, they held an open house and prop sale at the shooting location in Fells Point. My younger daughter REALLY wanted to go, so I grabbed her out of school and off we went. Guess what she bought? Yup - a body bag!!!!!! I bought a prop six-pack and a crime scene diagram. It was neat to visit the location and see where the HQ and pier scenes were shot (I think she may still have the bag - 20 years later!)
YoungAtHeart I'll have you know that I already HAD my black coffee and I shook things up a bit this morning and had Organic French Vanilla Almond Granola...with no milk, just dry but it is very sweet. I have to work today but I might take a couple of minutes on that patio with those really comfy looking chairs.
I HAVE been told that if you are going to eat something really sweet, it is best to do it in the morning when you have all day to work it off. My problem is that I get an intense sugar rush and then it bottoms out and I go to sleep, whether I want to or not.
I need more coffee, mine was not strong enough. It is called "Mind, Body, and Soul" and is sold at the cafe where I work, it's Equal Exchange. It is quite lovely for a coffee but I needed more this morning or else my granola is causing an EARLY crash, wouldn't that be great just before work!
Good morning elvan Ellen, I hope your day at work will be easy and wish you have only happy customers!
Oh, my!
Oh, my, Pops
I do believe I must have died and gone to HEAVEN! These goodies AND the "I've slipped" button gone?
and, I just finished ANOTHER good book, "A Man Called Ove," that, of course, left me in tears, as most good books do! (btw, I highly recommend this one. The writer created such good characters and, at times, had me LOL).
JustSharon, I believe our barista, Pops may be out looking for a body bag, so what may I get for you this morning?
Sorry for the wait, SOMEBODY (Pops?) let the supply of to-go cups go to zero, and I had to run out for one!
Enjoy!
Good morning all,
Pops, please share with me some Romanian breakfast, I promise your funk will go away. Too bad you are working, I'd offer you some "tzuica", a concentrated plum alcohol (if it does not burn, it's not strong enough)
Here, I brought you some, you can have it tonight, after work
I wonder if this will help with the quitstipation that Dale talked about yesterday?
If not, perhaps you will just no longer care?
I am lucky that way Nancy (YoungAtHeart), I really don't get the quitstipation; the "Tuica" (pronounced tzuica) is helping rather with the opposite, too bad it is a medication that one can only have at night if they still work :-)
As for the food, I can have that any time, breakfast, lunch or dinner..
Oh, my - but that looks delicious. Almost makes me want to cook again - but cooking for one has its drawbacks. How much of a recipe can ONE eat before they are thoroughly sick of it, and I refuse to waste food! I bought a carry-out corned beef and cabbage on Friday and will eat it again tonight (and probably tomorrow night, too). I think I'll be fine with not seeing any until NEXT St.Patty's Day!
I'm glad to see that you guys just sort of took the reigns and ran with it today. I've been buried on this contract all morning. I just finished writing the specs. That is the hardest part. Now for the market research and just send it up the pipeline for award....woo hoo!!!!!!!!
How's about a little humor?......
The Teacher says to the class: Who ever stands up is stupid
*Nobody stands up*
Teacher: I said who ever stands up is STUPID!
*Little Johnny stands up*
Teacher: Johnny, do you really think that you are stupid?
Little Johnny: No Mrs, I just thought that maybe you are lonely being the only one standing
Hey pops, could you brew me something special today like a latte. Just got hubby home from the hospital yesterday and he has pneumonia. I also have a cold and could sure use a nice cup of coffee to make me feel better. Good thing,
no body bags in the house here, lol.
Wow, no one visited since I last did, hoping I can hang out with someone, but keep forgetting it is dinner time for the East Coasters.
Will find a way to entertain myself, will have an ice cream, I feel like chocolate
And go have it on the deck..
That's the beauty of our virtual EX Café, we can be wherever we please, eat as much as we want, no immediate impact...other than a relaxing one...
We are sorry but the EX_cafe is closed now. Please come back and join us on Wednesday morning where Susan, aka susan_m will be at the helm providing great insight, humor....something that all of us baristas strive to do. In the meantime, please continue to remain smoke free and reach out to help another EXer defeat this addiction...who knows, the life you save may be your own...
Good morning EXer friends! It's pretty darn early right now. I thought that I would open early and put out the self serve sign for a little bit, as I need to go in the back and get freshened up and prepare for a fun morning with my buddies....
So please help yourselves for a bit & I will be back in a bit to get this party going!!!!!
