Ok so if I post a blog on my profile nobody can see it. I have to start a discussion for people to actually see it.
It seems as if a blog and a discussion are 2 different things. I clicked the Home tab on the far left of the screen up top and it took me to a page where Write a Blog Post was right in the middle of the page. Again, I haven't quite figured out what the difference is between a blog and a discussion but I guess maybe just a difference in how you like to communicate...
Hi Breakinthechains and brittann3 -- lots of good questions about what the differences are between blogs and discussions.
Blogs are typically used for personal journalling about your quit, or for longer reflection. Discussions in the Conversations area are more for back-and-forth discussion.
You can read more about the differences in our Community Help area: Different Content Types on EX and When to Use Each One
Hope this is helpful! Our whole EX Team is here to help you out.

You can also click on the Pencil icon next to your Profile icon in the top right corner of the screen and select from the drop down box of options. Write a blog post is one of the options.
Breakinthechains Good question about whether others can see your blog posts -- the short answer is, they can!
To see blogs, there are several different places on our Community:
Hope this is helpful!
People can also go to Breakinthechains Blog to see all of your blogs. Some may also find watching https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/activity or https://excommunity.becomeanex.org/content lets them see what is going on in the community. There are filters so you can see what most recently got activity or what was created most recently. You can limit it down to the various content types as well.
