This is my first visit to this site and I need support to quit. A lot of people I know smoke including my husband. I know its not too late to quit. My husband's Grandpa quit at 62 and lived to 95. Since I live in Michigan I picked this group. Am I in the right place?

7 days without cigarettes, minus a small slip or two.  Still trying really want this but its so hard.  I have been a lifelong smoker and until recently really enjoyed smoking.  I think I hate everything about not smoking.  The only thing I really l;ike is being able to breathe.  I guess thats a big thing in itself.

Hi everyone, My name is Dennine and I quit may 17 th of this year for 3 months and I work for a Casino in Detroit michigan and it can be very stressful despite what everyone think ,most from the outside always say what a fun glamerous job thats only in the movies.I started smoking a few a day ,one on the way to work and maybe 2 after I got home from work,but I never smoke at work anymore don't want people to see I failed though if someone asks I tell them sometimes I smoke 1 or 2 but lately it is 6 a day and a I feel so bad about myself when I do and I set another quit date for december 1,2009 . I also live with my sister who smokes like a chimmy but I guess that was me until I cut down in the last year. I always smoked a pack a day up until a year ago . I kept smoking less and less.

Hi my name is Brandy Daniels for oklahoma city, ok, but I am a michigander...I have tried quitting smoking numerous times and everytime I quit something terrible happens in my life...so I have set a quit date for February 2..good luck to me...has anyone else had that problem...
