Hello all,
This is now my fourth full day of quitting. I still notice smokers around me and, actually feel a little jealous that they can smoke.
But, I remember the positive gains and keep on going, looking toward that target of 10 days! I had quit a few years ago, so I find it is easier to manage the habit after only about a week or two. There is a light at the end of the tunnel!
I am using the generic-branded gum (available at Wal-Mart under their brand name "Equate" or other fine pharmacies) and find it is useful to chew it anytime I feel the urge. I will keep chewing until I can finally diminish the nicotine addiction!
I surely don't need a major medical diagnosis to quit-- after the past few days, I wouldn't want to look back again.
Please share your stories of the first week or so here!

I have a degree in computer science, Microsoft certified yada yada yada. But I feel the best use of all this technology is the ability for the world to communicate, just as we do here. Helping our fellow man/woman. Thanks everyone!
