Give and get support around quitting

A SIMPLE STATEMENT

Don't read too much into this please. I am not trying to offend anyone. I  have noticed several blogs on the main page lately that talk about quitting, then slipping, then quitting again. The point I want to make is that if you do not quit completely, and never smoke another one, you will never realize the pleasure that comes with a smoke-free life. You will never realize the health benefits/improvements, that come with a smoke-free life. Smoke-free means smoke-free. Having the occasional  cigarette is kinda like trying to fill up a bucket with a hole in it. No matter how many times you try, it just aint gonna work. People can quit any way they chose, but the fact is, you will not enjoy  the real benefits of a quit unless you NEVER smoke another one.  Just something to keep in mind.

Totally agree. Love the bucket analogy.

Absolutely true!  The day I officially quit meant I was done with smoking.  That's when I put up the sign in my head stating "I don't smoke anymore".

You can't be a sometimes non smoker it has to be all or nothing IMO.
