Discuss different approaches to quitting, including medication

Finally!!

I had a quit date in Early Sept. but failed. The chantix had not yet kicked in and I wasn't in good place. Yesterday morning I woke up and did not want to smoke. I decided to just surrender to the process and I don't want to smoke today either. I had almost given up. Thank GOD I didn't.

I think the Key Word here is "decided"!
Once you decide to rid yourself of nicotine you put yourself in the driver seat!
Put your addiction in the back seat, and give it a ride to a deserted road and drop it off!
Just know, the hard work is just beginning! The cravings will come but every one that you get through makes you that much stronger! So put your hands on the wheel and take control!
Take care,

Thanks fo the input. I am doing good considering it has only been 2 DAYS. I haven't drank in 11 years and 6 months so I should be able to reach my goal with this as well.
More will be revealed. Melinda

2 days is GREAT, Melinda! I didn't mean to offend and sorry if I did.
It got easier for me the minute I truely decided to quit.
Deciding is the key....that's all I was getting at.
