You could say that I’m just another entry in the one puff files.
Tuesday the 15th was birthday- 46 days free and I decided to treat myself with “just one” vape. Six days later it’s been one every single day. I failed.
I’m back to the day ones and days threes... and all the pain I endured to get to day 46. I can’t believe I’m here again.
Aim for vapebriety, not number of days. Yes, there are milestones--a way to celebrate, but the strongest way to stay smober is to walk the walk one day at a time, rather than focus on getting days. Addiction is overcome one day at a time, in tiny but significant actions of moving forward--often by doing exactly the opposite of what you'd like to do, wish to do or intend to do.
Allow yourself to imagine what you do just for today matters the most.
Welcome back.
